Failure.

Don't tell me not to live, just sit and putter. Life's candy and the sun's a ball of butter. Don't bring around a cloud to rain on my parade. -Funny Girl

Everyone who is a parent has been told they are messing up big time and their child will be the next Jeffrey Dahmer if they continue to use that brand of applesauce. Most moms will blow this off or get offended, but some will think "hmmm, maybe Jeffrey Dahmer did eat this applesauce." This blog is for you, worrisome fretting new mother! I have been waiting to be a mommy since I knew my acting career was dead in the water (about 8). But the Candyland life I pictured is far from real, isn't it? Do you feel this way? Maybe your child's dad is not around (or you wish he wasn't) Or maybe you had the baby too early in your marriage or later in life or when the planets did all aline, but still it's hard. What gives? The truth is no one, NO ONE, can truly prepare you for the sleepless, toothpaste-stained-sink, toy bombed, "sit down sit down sit down SIT DOWN", shaved-legs-to-the-knee -is-a-big-accomplishment life motherhood brings. So yes, you will feel like a failure..alot. Something is always amiss, husband neglect, child neglect, house neglect, and mostly, self neglect. But here it's ok. Here we are able to feel what we feel. I will be sharing what my life is and I encourage you to share yours. The only rule is perfection is not allowed when raising giants.
